This head looks to be a good core for rebuilding, as I don't see any burned or sunken valves or signs of cracks, and all threaded holes are good.

226 CI 6 Cylinder Engine Flat Head From a 1947 Studebaker Truck M16-2C

This flat head 226 cubic inch 6 cylinder engine head is from a 1947 Studebaker M16-C2. The old truck that it came off of had been sitting in a barn, last licensed in 1980. I bought the truck a month or two ago. When I removed the head, there was still coolant in the cooling system, full, or nearly full. The engine has oil in the oil pan. I don't have any idea why the truck was parked. I also have no idea if the head is good as it sits, or if it will need work. It would be a good idea to have it cleaned and checked by a professional and do a valve job at the same time. I am selling the head as is, no returns, no refunds. Please check out all of the photos, the head numbers before bidding/buying to be absolutely certain this is the head that you want/need.

Set of 23 Flat Head Engine Bolts From a 1947 Studebaker M16-C2 3.7L Engine

Set of 23 used bolts from a 1947 Studebaker M16-C2 truck, 3.7L, flat six. These are the bolts that I removed from the engine head, I can't say all are original, but I believe they are. I believe these 23 bolts are all that I removed from the head, they are all I have. Three bolts are missing the washers. If I find them, and I will double check, they will be included. One or two of the bolts have something other than a washer. They are what was with the bolts. This lot is being sold as is, no returns, no refunds.

I am looking for boxes currently for heads and intake manifold I believe the heads are close to 38 lb each. Combustion chamber has been Improved AIR FLOW - greatly by removal of the shrouded valve area, and the lip on the intake runners has been removed and runners smooth out, and the exhaust ports have been enlarged and Matched to gaskets.
